During the COVID-19 pandemic we found it necessary to incorporate telemedicine into our practice in order to continue caring for our patients, while minimizing the risk of exposure to COVID-19 whenever possible.
As we have gained experience in using telemedicine over the past several months, we feel that we can continue to provide some of our patients the option of being evaluated via a telemedicine appointment instead of a physical visit to our office. While this option is not feasible in certain situations, such as when a detailed physical examination is required to arrive at a diagnosis, this option may be quite useful for our patients who are unable to come to the office because of physical limitations and those patients who must travel a long distance to see us.
If you would like to consider a telemedicine appointment, please contact our office to inquire whether a telemedicine evaluation would be adequate in your situation. As a general rule, we would like to continue see all patients in person for their initial visit.
